Name: Régis Duvigneau
Title: Chargé de Recherche
Bio:

Régis Duvigneau is currently permanent research associate at INRIA Sophia-Antipolis center, in Opale Project-Team. After obtaining an engineer diploma at Ecole Centrale de Nantes (speciality : hydrodynamics and ocean engineering), he defended in 2002 a PhD thesis on shape optimization methods for complex fluid mechanics systems (CNRS grant). He studied shape sensitivity analysis during a post-doctoral training at Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal, before joining Opale Project-Team at INRIA. His research is now related to numerical methods for multidisciplinary design optimization, with a particular focus on hierarchical strategies for multilevel parameterization and modeling. His developements are mainly applied to hydrodynamic and aerodynamic design (hull shape, wing configuration, etc).
